Our Mission

Continental Baptist Missions is a family of missionaries and support staff with a passion for planting and revitalizing biblically sound, spiritually healthy, disciple-making Baptist churches in North America.

CBM missionaries are engaged in establishing new churches where they are needed in communities across North America. In some cases, God gives the individual missionary a burden for a specific community. In other cases, an existing church or fellowship of churches has a vision to see a new church planted in a neighboring community. Learn More

Maintaining a vibrant gospel ministry in North America also means helping established churches who are struggling to survive. CBM is compelled, whenever possible, to help struggling churches avoid premature closure. Learn More

The need for affordable, attractive facilities is a significant challenge both in planting new churches and in revitalizing struggling churches. The CBM Building Ministries provide valuable assistance to undergird the work of church planting. For a new church plant, the CBM Building Ministries provide guidance in selecting usable property, designing a functional building, and constructing an affordable, attractive house of worship. For a church revitalization work, our missionary builders can assist in making needed renovations to neglected facilities. Learn More

Since its incorporation in 1942, CBM has embraced the fundamental truths of biblical Christianity and chosen to be clearly identified as Baptist in name and practice.

Although the focus of CBM's outreach is North America, the world-wide progress of the gospel is advanced by this ministry. Churches planted, revitalized, and built through the efforts of CBM missionaries contribute financial support and personnel for the work of the gospel around the world.

Each CBM missionary is called of God, sent out by a local Baptist church, approved by the CBM board of directors, and has raised personal financial and prayer support from a network of local churches and individuals. Meet our Missionary family!

A small team of dedicated individuals in the home office in Rockford, Michigan provide a variety of services to CBM missionaries serving on the frontlines. Meet our Home Office Staff.

From its roots as a fellowship of a handful of pioneer missionaries who desperately needed one another's encouragement, CBM continues to be characterized by a family atmosphere.

Whether as an approved church planter or missionary builder, a volunteer helping for a week at a church plant or building project, a prayer warrior, or a financial supporter, there is a place for you in the planting, revitalizing, and building ministry of Continental Baptist Missions!
