Serving Jesus by Serving Others
Published Nov 04, 2025 | ContactChris & Jeanie Brown joined the CBM family earlier this year and are excited to see what God is going to do in their lives and ministry. They have a desire to “serve Jesus by serving others” with their gifts and abilities (1 Peter 4:10). Chris and Jeanie have a 21-year-old son, Nathan, and live in Northern Indiana. They have been married for 37 years and have been involved in ministry (part-time to full-time) throughout that time; in June, they began their 25th year of full-time ministry. Through the years, they have always had a desire to reach children of all ages for Christ; all three of the Browns asked Jesus to be their Savior at a young age.
The Browns have been on the front lines as missionaries but have also served to support others behind the scenes. While serving, God has given them a real burden for local churches throughout the Midwest. They especially desire to help those who are struggling, need pastoral staff, need fresh ideas, and just need encouragement. A little over a year ago, Chris and Jeanie knew the Lord was leading them to make another ministry change; they began praying for direction and seeking counsel for next steps. During that time, someone asked if they had ever considered CBM; a few months later, seeing how God was leading, the Browns made a decision to diligently pursue that possibility.
Chris is serving in a dual role as CBM Business Manager and will also be representing CBM to churches across the Midwest. He loves to preach, sing, and encourage church leaders. Jeanie is serving in Donor Relations and taking on responsibilities with entering donations, printing receipts, and other office-related tasks. We are so glad to have the Browns as a part of the CBM home office team!
